Founded in 2006, FireID is a software development company based in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
The unique concept and working environment fostered by the company has attracted some of the best development talent in the country to work on a unique and entirely South African developed software product.
FireID is a world-class security application that is able to compete on the global stage.
Several patents have been filed for the pioneering and innovative solutions and technologies developed, while constantly striving to create a next generation authentication concept.

Jenny Dugmore
CEO
Jenny Dugmore has been involved in the IT industry, in both South Africa and Canada for over three decades, having first studied software development through IBM in the early 70s. She spearheaded the successful introduction and establishment of FedEx into Southern Africa and was instrumental in the growth and expansion of SPL (Dimension Data) and Software Futures in the Western Cape. Jenny has extensive senior management experience in the IT industry, with specific success in driving enterprise sales and establishing market credibility.
Malan Joubert
CTO and co-Founder
Malan studied at Stellenbosch University where he graduated B.Eng Electronic with Computer Science (cum laude) and was awarded the national SAIEE prize for the best final year project. Whilst studying, he became interested in the mobile security space, and subsequently founded FireID with Justin and Erik.
Debbie Visser
Marketing
Debbie has 8 years experience in IT Marketing and has an IMM Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management. She was previously Marketing Manager at Software Futures, a large software development company in Cape Town. Prior to getting involved in IT she was a brand manager in the retail and manufacturing industry.
Gerdus Byleveld
Sales EMEA
Gerdus Byleveld is currently the FireID International Sales Manager. Gerdus has 15 years experience in business development, from direct sales to channel management and has held senior and executive management positions at a number of multi-national organizations.
Johan Pieters
Development
Johan Pieters has extensive experience in project management, software delivery operations management, account management and business analysis. Johan has a B.Eng degree from the University of Stellenbosch, a Masters Degree in Business Leadership through the University of South Africa School for Business Learning and a Diploma in Datametry through the University of South Africa. He was previously employed by Denel, Dimension Data, DVT and Old Mutual.
Jonas Thulin
VP Sales Engineering
Jonas Thulin has almost 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Jonas joined FireID after having been employed at Dimension Data for 10 years, working as a regional GM for their Security line of business in Cape Town, spending 1 year as their global security business development manager and lastly as the national CTO for the South African Security division.
Sotirios Ladopoulos

Sotirios Ladopoulos CA (SA) has over 10 years experience in financial management. Articled at Ernst & Young, he has worked in various financial positions at IT and risk consultancy companies.
